Cos if there is, I want one. Some daft bint reversed her Suzuki Grand
Vitara into my PARKED Suzuki 1000 this afternoon and knocked it onto
it's side. This seems to be something I hear often in here. Thanks
to the crash bungs (on frame and forks) there was very little
damage... but I'm still getting the Forces of the Nash out. Just
scratches on the can, bar weight, footrest and the crash bung itself.

"I'm sorry, it wasn't there when I parked up. How was I to know it
was there?" Arggggh. Get new glasses woman. She walked in bright
daylight about 20 feet from the buildings reception to her car... and
    didn't see it?

First job is to get it inspected, because riding home from Southampton
this evening there's a rattle I don't remember hearing before. And
the passenger hanger on the off side is now bent slightly in towards
the wheel. This is cast and hasn't snapped, so I think it might have
bent the seat rail it fixes to. Anything else weak on the offside of
    a gixxer thou?

Oh well, at least it didn't happen with me on it at eeeeek mph.

    Sigh.

Get the quote, because when this was done to me the damage was just
    shy of £900.

So who is claiming title as keeper of the lists nowadays. Andy R still
on the job or did he get over it?

I think a BIBFBFWP #1 (backed into by four by four whilst parked)could
    be awarded.

Opinions to the unknown keeper of the lists please.

<fx: Bruce Willis> "Yeah, last time I saw her she was at the bottom of
an elevator shaft with an SUV rammed up her ass."

We have a KOTL for that?

If you need a really good right fairing panel I have one here. Only
very minor marks that you have to look for.

    Keeper Of The List. You might notice many denizens have strange sigs like;

    Two Tailed Ring Lemur#1

Or TTRL#1. If you qualify for said subset of humanity, you may apply to
the KOTL, and, if judged worthy you may be awarded the next number, TTRL#2.

The most coveted are the You Thick **** (YTC) numbers awarded for
stupidity above and beyond the call of duty. I believe only 12 in
existence, the KOTL will be along to correct me soon.

Thanks for the offer but the bungs did a perfect job and the fairing
didn't touch down. The Quill and the supporting bits took the rest of
the weight and bent in towards the wheel. I think the seat subframe
    is slightly bent too.

Nash are sorting it all out for me. I'm waiting for it to be checked
by someone from... <checks>... Altamura in Surrey. They good?

Cheers for the offer though, it's apprecieated.

    Can I nominate a 4x4 driver for a YTC?

The Nash is onto it, thanks. It quite shocked her when I said how
much an end can alone costs.

  11. Self nominating really I would have thought. Although leaving out the Y
and the T might be closer to the mark.

Missed this first time round. Same thing happened to mine, in a Paris
carpark, so I think the list would have to be HMGDIWP (Had My Gixxer
Driven Into While Parked). I claim #1 from four years back
You were lucky - mine was dragged down the side of an Austin Healey,
    causing significant damage to both.
Mine was in an underground car park and the guy's excuse was more
along the lines of "It wasn't central in the car slot so I couldn't
    see it."
    Well yes. Count your blessings.
