You've been installing a WiFi router, haven't you?

Might be worth checking that you've got the MSN ports opened on it.

Not just having trouble with MAN... certain webshites are apparently not
    'avin it', either.

Which ports are we talking, anyway?

    TIA

    1863 UDP and TCP.

Also worth getting hold of the IPs of your ISPs DNS servers and ensuring
they're entered manually both in the router config. and on the PC.

I've just entered the above - no change.

If I ping websites I know are working, they return the packets... surprise
surprise, the ones that aren't working, don't.

No, really. Use the router for PC DNS unless you are having real issues

That's right mate, the entire world wide web is broken. I mean, it
couldn't possibly be you, could it. ;-)

It was these new fangled wireless routers needing something tweaked to work
with my ISPs ADSL... still... it was quite confusing when some sites would,
    and some wouldn't.

    <hangs head in shame>

  10. Sorry - it was my fault. I had to unplug it for a bit to do the
    hoovering.
