is the CBR600F4i a real sport bike?

I've been looking into the bike and most people are saying go R6, because
the F4i is more of a touring bike with an upright seating position. It is
    also heavyer than most 600's?

    What do you all think?

I will be using it on the street but would like an agressive seating
    position and agressive handling bike.

    Thanks.

  2. Larf. The F4i would have been the fastest, sportiest 600 around about
three years ago, if not more recently. How perceptions change.
Look, the F4i is an incredibly fast, very sharp-handling motorcycle by
any standards. I have a horrible feeling this will be your first bike,
in which case they're all going to be way more than you need or should
    start on.

That said, yes, the R6 or the CBR600RR are both more sporty, faster,
    etc.

Most people are idiots. The differences between a CBR600F4i and an R6 can be
exploited by about 1/100th of one percent of all riders, and only then on a
closed course racetrack after plenty of practice on both bikes. Don't listen to
    idiots like "most people."
Then a CBR600F4i will be fine. It's uncomfortable enough to make you think
you're riding fast when you're not, and capable enough that if you don't know
how to ride, you'll never know you're in trouble until it is too late.

Now, on the other hand, if you'd like to learn how to properly ride a
motorcycle, can I interest you in this nice used Suzuki SV650 over here?

    I was afraid not.

    Sigh.

Yeah. The CBR600F4i is a touring bike.

    Sigh.
