Just been Googling for some Linux stuff, and every result gets
highlighted as potential Malware site and google won't let me go to it,
instead bringing up a page saying that it's really bad and giving a
google link to follow to explain just how really bad it is... but that
    doesn't work.

It's been fixed. It seemed to be a Firefox issue or I was trying IE7
    just as it got resolved.

    Teh Googlez wuz haxored.

At least that's what the forum I was lookngi at said.

It was quite funny goolging for "Google" and having Google decide none
of the Google sites were safe.

    Think it's fixed now.

It told me that the US Embassy website might harm my PC when I was
searching for info on the visa waiver thing.

Might be more truth in that than they realise.

    Or as a friend says:

Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard drive?

For a period on Saturday, all search results were flagged as
potentially harmful, with users warned that the site "may harm your
    computer".

Users who clicked on their preferred search result were advised to
    pick another one.

  11. Apparently they managed to include "/" in their list of bad sites,
    so it matched every URL...
