How true Andy. When I were a lad, it wasn't at all unusual to play with
asbestos and lead and when our sprogs kids are grown up it'll be discovered
that water was the root of all ills and we'll all have to drink (blurgh)
    BEER. :)

An old pal of mine has a firm oop 'ere what makes fibreglass insulation
products and on the one ocassion that I viisted his works, it took less than
a few seconds before I could feel the stuff in my throat.

It was EVERY-fucking-where and all the employees were given air fed masks in
a (vain) attempt to keep them at least half healthy. Not one wore the maske
and you could SEE the glass fibres in the air.

I see many health problems for these idiots.

Don't be daft, youo've had both arms amputated and your wheelchair's got
fucked wheel bearings. And your pinching pliers are on the top shelf where
    you *just* can't reach 'em.
I couldn't agree more actually, particularly these days when they don't turn
    up after promising faithfully.

What is the difference between an investment banker and a pidgeon?

A pidgeon can still put a deposit on a new mercedes.

  14. Indeed. Just exactly the same as you used to see in asbestos works. Pah,
    it's only fibres, quite harmless.

I've spent too long up attic spaces over the past several years and have
become very wary of old f/g insulation, as it crumbles into dust at the
slightest provocation. I wouldn't be at all surprised if some of the
dust particle sizes are down at the danger zone the asbestos ones are. I
always wear a decent dust mask now.

Apart from the fact that information is freely available these days and the
workers are provided with the necessary equipment to put up *some* kind of
    fight, but they're brainless mongs.
After being employed by an insulation firm for a short time in the 60's I
won't even look at the stuff without a mask on. And I didn't need some
government surgeon genereal to tell me it's likely to **** me up, just a
simple look at how much is thrown into the air when you move it was more
    than enough.
