You've been out and about around here, haven't you?

Tricky in the cage. Not that I've ever mastered it on the bike either,
    though.

I was trundling up to the BOSM on Satdy, like you do, on the VFR heavy[1],
and reckoned I was managing a reasonable speed: Red Hot Sports Weapon, three
figures on the clock, mostly in lane 3. And yet...

By christ there was some old shite coming past me. The big Mercs and
Cayennes I can understand, but shitty old Vectras, Primeras and the like?

    Not everyone drives slow.

[1]full baggage, full fuel, full pax...

I wasn't racing them, just sitting around the ton on a straight motorway.
They were probably doing 110 or thereabouts, which most cars are capable of,
    I guess.

True. I used to do it in my Cortina but that had a straight through
exhaust with two Cherry Bombs in it )
There really is nothing to it.

So I am given to understand. All I end up with is a dead engine, though.
    Cos I'm crap, really

You don't think it could possibly be related to having electronic fuel
injection that stops pumping fuel into the cylinders as soon as power
    is turned off, then?

Well, I spose it *might* be ;), but in the spirit of honesty, I couldn't do
    it on the Monster either.

I would like to say that I've never actually tried on the Triple, cos I'm
    not quite that crap.

Is this a potential market for an after-market accessory then?

Sort of afterburners? Inject fuel straight into the pipes :)

A you totally fucking thick or do you have to practice every day?

The discussion is about motor vehicles and troubles associated with
driving them and where has half of ukrm been last weekend, complete with
fleet of cages where it can for onmce actually share a common
    experience?

Fucking real life you ****, get some it might do you good.

Speed limits confuse me somewhat, because they have the NSL, which you print
into your brain, and then some arse comes along and decides to do away with
it, and change it all around, like they have done with the A725 where I am.
used to be NSL, dual-carriageway, now has 60 signs plastered all the way up
it, which of course means that the bonnet wearing, Micra drivers out there
all do anything between 40 and 59mph on it.

    I see. So you're referring to you're journey to/from BOSM that I wasn't
at? I can see why you think I'm thick.
Funnily enough, for me real life extends beyond the boundaries of
meeting people once or twice a year who post messages to the same
newsgroup. I didn't come to the BOSM because I had other plans. The one
time I have been able to make it you and I had a chat - which I'm sure
    you remember.
