Is it just me or is CN getting a bit pants recently?

It's car inswearance renewal time for the RX7 convertible and seeing
that they offered a good deal for my classic ovloV landmark (otherwise
known as a classic mistake), I figured I'd give them a ring.

    Oh man.

I explain to matey that I've got a few policies with CN including one
classic car policy already and that I'd like a quote for the
    convertible.

So of course I have to give him all my details again (it's not like they
have multiple copies of them already) "because they could have
changed". Well they haven't, but was he bothered?

Then he starts the quoting process for an RX3, which happens to be a
slightly different car. Fortunately I caught that one pretty early and
after doing my "Englishman abroad" impression, got back on track.

On this goes, with me having to repeat things LOUDLY over and over again
for about twenty minutes. Only to find out that they can't quote because
the car "is modified", but he couldn't tell me which modification was
    causing the problem.

I'm still waiting for the call back, and I'm not holding my breath on
    this one.

They've never given me a competitive quote... ever.

    Champ says...
I couldn't be happier with them, it costs me less than 250 to insure all
my bikes comp, and less than 200 quid comp on the car too. Not bad
considering I have 5 bikes and no NCD on the car.

Maybe they have a "no cunts" rule?

OK, maybe they have a "no cunts" rule that doesn't work very well?

Having insured modified bikes with CN, they were the obvious choice
for the Tart, which is not on any UK list. Not cheap, but it didn't
    throw them.

I have insured cars through the same broker (Primo) for many years
(since I had the Alfa 75 V6 when they were one of the few that would
even give me a quote) . They swap me from company to company from
time to time at renewal, if they can find a more competitive deal.
Whenever I have tried elesewhere or internet comparisons they are
within a few quid, so I stick with them. Not sure how they are with
    rare cars though.

Even that seems to have changed a little - I had a hell of a time
trying to get them to re-insure the Triumph Chop I used to have.
Original insurance was not a problem but the renewal was. Whereas
ebikeinsurance was happy to quote me 90-odd quid...
They sound like they're worth sticking on my list of brokers to call
then. I ended up reinsuring the convertible through my current broker
as they were the only ones who were able to get me an agreed value
policy. For some reason I didn't want to get stuck with a 'market
value' policy if there are only 5-6 cars in the country that are
actually in as good a shape as my convertible and you just *know* that
the market value would suddenly be dictated by 1200 quid "ebay special"
    sheds.

And I'm insured with em, so it must be something to do with the way you
    look.

    Look, it's summer... *points*

Is that *points* as in *indicates summer*, or as in points on licence being
    a natural accompaniment to summer?

I assumed that, as it wasn't really summer and still rather chilly,
that she was referring to a specific set of "points".

  18. I was going to use them as they quoted me £234 for my fazer renewal,
however the AA quoted me £177. I am tempted by CN if only for their
included EU breakdown cover. I doubt the AA would give me that for a
    combined price of £234...
