Rain, rain, rain.. and still more rain in the forecast..

Well.. the yard has to be cut at least once every five days..
The black GMC and the Mexicans' Cadillac haven't been this
clean in months.. Streets are flooding all over the place and
dang.. if anyone is riding a motorcycle, they done been wet
blown dry and wet again, within a few minutes.. July is right
around the corner and the temps are still down low enough
so that the A/C isn't continuously running.. hmmm.. That ought
to keep the electric bill under control for a while.. See there,
every cloud has a silver lining.. The water bill for watering all
that grass is non-existent.. Anybody that's watering the lawn
with all this water falling, just wants to waste water..

Look out, folks.. this is Texas, and when our weather turns
around, it will be a doozey.. Our summers are never a cake
walk, but when this system moves from over us.. we'll more
than likely see blistering heat, as usual..

The Green Vulcan sits under the cover, on the Mexicans' patio..
The trip oil from Arizona is changed and that old thing sure
looks sad, to me.. Got a slight carburetor problem, but the
good folks at Grapevine Kawasaki have assured me, that as
soon as I work up the courage to ride out there, they'll figure
out how to take care of it.. hmmm.. Can't be too serious, the
Green One has made a trip down into Mexico, out to Arizona
and lots of running around the metroplex, lately..

Well.. anyway, that sucker is ready to roll, but I've got a sneaky
feeling, we'll be doing a lot of night riding.. pretty soon..

The Rain fronts, are ''hovering'', when they hover', it means ''flood''
    conditions.

It has been ''hovering'' over and up here, for a few days, and we got
    almost 4 inches.

I believe its ''hovering'' in the central areas, and flooding all those
    folks.

When it hovers around Houston, it is because it sucks up the ocean
waters, and dumps it. (something like that?)

lol.. Yeah but, Gary.. you need to get out of the area of your
    zip code more often.. <chuckle>

Seriously, our area lakes are full and above acceptable levels..
Rivers and creeks are overflowing and causing temendous
flooding all over north Texas.. The rain forecast for the remainder
of this week is disturbing, considering all the saturation we've
experienced.. Our area could be in for a rough period, under
    these conditions..

The most disturbing factor is that there is nothing we can do
about it.. Mother Nature has to run her course.. We've been
badly in need of rain, so it is a blessing in that regard.. Even
though I don't enjoy all this lawn mowing and stuff, I'm sure
that our farmers and ranchers need all this wet stuff, they've
    had these past few days..

The hard part of summer is still ahead of us and I'm hoping
the rain will stabilize somewhat, to give us a break from the
fierce heat that July and August usually bring..

Maybe, you won't have to do all that night riding and can join
some of us on some great day and weekend runs.. <grin>

Amidst all the high water alerts, I heard on the radio that
several organizations were to be evacuated. In this group,
an organization called "Hillbilly Haven" was included.

I was immediately attracted, and have made a mental
plan to someday make that my home.

I was going to say......two years ago....June was a wet month, not this
wet, but we did get an unusual amt. of rain that summer.

    Consequently, the Summertime was easy.

It never got up to 100 that year.
    High was about 96.

Last summer, it might have rained three times, and, we almost broke a
    1988 record of over a 100* in 25+ days straight ! ( I believe).

Last August, we had about 21 days in a row, of 100+ degrees.

But, in the Dallas area, ya'll's creeks are truly Rising. <g>

That is definitely an understatement.. lol.. Central Texas is catching
a lot of rain and those folks are really having a tough time of it..

That Arizona friend of mine is telling me about the temperatures in
the hundreds.. That's hot and they are desperate for rain in that area..

Even though, it is dicey.. getting out and about on a motorcycle, like
I've said.. the water bills are low.. the electric bill is not through the
roof and the grass sure does look nice and green.. All that counts for
something, but I'm still of the opinion that George Bush is somehow
involved in all this motorcycle inclimate weather..

There is sure to be some fingerprints of Dick Cheney all over the place..
I'd support an immediate investigation to determine if Cheney has
somehow hijacked the National Weather Service.. After all.. the latest
revelations that he's not a part of the Executive Branch, leads me to
believe that he's not above suspision.. The key to good government
is transparency, and I'd like to know what he is hiding about all the
bad weather we are experiencing.. Thank you for your support..
