  1. Rumor or bullshit?

First as a engine supplier, latter as a factory-team

    They too want Rossi :))

  3. I feel Ducati/Marlboro should have offered him lots lots more, now the
US$20mil Yamaha paid him knows it got itself a bargain....

Loris/Troy are great riders but not freaks like Rossi, he could have been
the missing piece in the puzzle

Rossi is heading to F1 i believe this and next year will be his last, enough
to beat the doohan records but not the Ago ones

  4. More wins, more points together with the the 125 and 250 championships
    thrown in as a job-lot

Oh, and on a underdog brand too, not the proven winner

LOL. Why don't we start count the number of under-10 minimoto championships
too... just to make it really fair.

  7. I won a push-bike race at my primary school once.

    So,

    Doohan: 5
    Rossi: 3 (at the moment)
    James Mayfield: 1

Only another 5 to go and I will have beaten Doohan too!!!

  10. He test drove a Ferrari F1 earlier this year, [another reason he left haonda
they promised a drive NEVER delivered] he was less than 2s a lap slower than
the reg. drivers.New track, new vehicle not a bad effort really.Unlike
another multiple 500cc champion he didnt punt it into the wall.......

Yamaha have given him plenty of freedom in his contract,Toyota own a fair
wack of Yamaha, Toyota race in F1,Rossi gets to walk around the Toyota F1
team as he wishes, pieces falling into place.......
Been done before, Surtees, Cicotto , Hailwood. Rossi could perhaps wake up
one day and say "****-it, i proved myself i dont want to put it on the line
    anymore" that would be that

If he heads to Ferrari he will have to fight Liuzzi for a seat

In all seriousness, if he _did_ go to Ferrari (and it's a pretty big leap to
suggest it as even a possibility) he would most definately number 2 to
Schumy (talking team orders, but being realistic, in that points as well).
Do you really think his ego (and yes, he does have a pretty big one, pehaps
not quite as big as biaggi, but pretty big all the same) would be happy with
him being a very definately number 2 after being number one for so long?

  12. The above is true in some BUT M/S has to retire one day.I cannot see him
    going beyond end of 05'

Better yet, as much as Italians love M/S, at he end of the day, Rossi/Liuzzi
are Italians and M/S not, he would get squeezed

That doesn't mean he can do even one race at a competitive pace, let
    alone a season.

True but remember Honda hadn't won the championship for four years before
Doohan broke the drought in 1994!

Well I thought it was pretty funny Dave!
Hatz is certainly packing some rigid pants-ham for a certain simian Yamaha
    rider!

  18. True, what he should do [Rossi] is win this year and then say "shove it up
    your arse" and/or similar

"I want to retire stay home and pick my nose :)) " [as ya do......]

    Cheers Clem,

Hehe - love the "pants-ham" ref. Up there (as it were) with the old
    'trouser bowser'.

The old Hatz seems pretty 'one-eyed' doesn't he?? :)
