Someone spammed the York facebook group, well ok that's about all anyone
ever did, but for a special mention:
"i've just set up a wedding car business in York"
Oh well not an original idea but hey it's an old money area with many
weddings so, er what will we call it:
    "Pure Class Wedding Cars"
oh dear, oh deary deary me, not a good start, but wait what's this, he has a
    website:
    www.pureclassweddingcars.co.uk
and our choice of ride for the lucky Bride, *Of Course* a stretch Chrysler
    300C <applause>
Oh wait, sorry, a Baby Bently in fact, shod in 22" chrome alloy wheels. But
don't worry folks it has a personalised reg plate to ensure nobody is fooled
into thinking Daddy splurged out on that Bently.

Visit the website for 90seconds if you want to wrinkle your nose and snort

I love the last pic on the photo page of some ropey couple standing in
front of a BMW X5 and not the 300C!

Oh, no. It's worse than that.

    It's not a stretch.

    It's a bog-standard 300C... estate.

(Warning - not for the bandwidth pikeys, since some genius thought 10Mp
pics didn't need to be resized for the web...)

  7. It's not - it's a standard Dodge Magnum with Chrysler badges.

    Not in the UK.. http://www.chrysler.co.uk/300c/models.html

    Here it's called a "300C 3.0 V6 CRD Touring (Auto)"

    And it's a Diesel, FFS.

Do they *pay* for their marketing copy?

"Chrysler 300C Touring delivers performance, uncompromising power, with
rear-wheel drive to help maintain perfect balance and a stunning Chrome
Grille with unique mesh design. Thanks to a state-of-the-art 3.0 Common
Rail Diesel V6 engine 300C Touring reaches higher levels of capability.

The 3.0L V6 diesel is quicker (0-60 in about 8 sec) than the 3.5L V6 petrol
version (0-60 in about 9 sec). The diesel is also about 10mpg more
    economical.

We had a marketing person like that once, I felt I could get better copy
by handing a bunch of crayons and paper to the local creche and picking
one of the pieces of paper left scattered at the end of the day.

Proper ones, like wot they sell over here, come with the V8 5.7l hemi
motor. Much quicker than either of the above.

I was almost considering one before I got the R36, TBH, but only the
Dodge-branded one, which are only unofficially imported. Absolutely
huge, and quite quick despitie their bulk, with 350HP on tap and a
    half-reasonable 5-speed slushbox.

  16. JHFC, a shit-ugly car and a shit-ugly photograph. Looks like he's taken
it on a cellphone with a greasy lens.

  18. Did you actually drive one? I had one (non Hemi) as a rental in the US
and it handled like shit. A colleague had a Hemi, and got uppity when I
said they handled like shit and said I should try a 'proper one'. So I
called him on that and it (Hemi version) still handled like shit,
although obviously it made much nicer noises and went decently quick
    for a boat sized car.

We spit on your 5.7 hemi. We used to have the 5.7 but now the only hemi on
sale over here is the 6.1 version - 425bhp on tap and 0-60 in 5 sec. There
is one on sale just up the road from me for under £15k and I am seriously
    tempted - but the 20mpg average is a bit off-putting (13.5mpg urban, 27.7
    non-urban)

Me too - the diesel is one of the best second-hand value for money
luxobarges around. It is possible to find sub-30,000-mile examples for
    under £14K.
