    I bet you are.

As an aside, I was finkin, what wiv Mr Eaton's patented rearsets, and
    all.

What are the odds of you doing a 100mph lap, on TT100s?

    On a T120V proddie bike.

And how big would one's balls have to be, exactly?

PS The same year, an H1 ridden by Tony Dunnell was leading the 500cc
class of the 1969 Production TT by over a minute before crashing at
    the 33rd Milestone.

It was won by a Honda:

    TT 1969, Production 500cc
    1 - Graham Penny Honda 1.17.01.6 @ 88.18mph

    Over a minute ahead's what? 89.3mph?

    Average? For 3 laps?

    On an H1!

    Hayulp!

Me and ride hard don't appear in the same sentence usually. I like a
more gentle pace, as Elly will vouch for. :)
Fun is where you have it, nice. I'll remember that phrase next time I'm
    on my CG.
That's the one. I was wondering how it worked out, as my Land lords mum
and dad came to stay, and all but take over the TV and lower half of the
    house.
I thought it looked like the combination of rough roads and a heavy load
on the rear of the bike.
With Harleys though, they would have had the worse of both worlds.
Ever see the program where they did a Dakar stylee race with a bunch of
second hand cars from the UK. The sight of an Audi80 running up a dune
    was surreal.

Please don't think for a moment that I was attempting to belittle
    them, either.

My best lap was 47 minutes, ffs.

Pretty much everyone associated with the racing in the Island had the
same reaction. The received wisdom had been that even if you're very
good indeed, it takes 3 years to work up to those sorts of speeds. As
my mate Pat said "It's not a recipe for a long and enjoyable old age".

On the bright side - he had been planning to do the Manx, but decided
to go straight to the TT. If he'd run the Manx Newcomers race at that
sort of pace, I'd have been *way* outside getting a replica :)
    Fill your boots.

    heh - don't worry, I don't.
Quite. He had been visiting the Island once a month and doing lap
after lap on open roads in the car with other experienced riders, but
all the same, you can't *really* learn the course on open roads.

A race time within 110% of the winner's time gets a "silver replica"
    at the MGP

At the TT, 105% gets a "silver", and 110% a "bronze".

If only. 105.8 (and yes, the point eight does matter)
    Lord knows indeed.

I was chatting to John McGuinness at a bike shop open day last year
(he's done 125+). He can't explain how he does it - he reckoned he
could go round at 110 with me sat on the back! I declined.

Less than that - above 120 each additional mph is about 4~5 seconds
worth. At the range I'm in, each mph is about 12 seconds.
    eh? Since when?
Well, he wasn't serious as there's virtually no way you could organise
a pillion lap on closed roads.

  18. do the words **** Right Off mean anything to you?

then again I suppose I have to grovel a little cos he rode the bandit
back from Preston in the pissing down rain and I drove the car. to
show how bad it was, he left 20 mins before me and got back 30 mins
    after.

I'm still not riding a CG to somewhere stupid.
