SKooter Bum - can you give us a report on that Harley you've added to your
    stable?
Does it or does it not have loud sounds coming from the tailpipes?
Do you enjoy riding the Harley or is the Harley for a specific purpose other
    than riding?
    Was it hot yesterday?

Let's just say it is louder than stock but doesn't totally piss off the
neighbors. I found a totally stock 03 Road King with 1,572 miles on it,
and I'm the third owner. It was one of the park it in the driveway and
impress the neighbors with the fact they live next door to a "biker"
    motorcycles.

I got the Harley as I hadn't owned one since the AMF days and I wanted
just one more before I got too old to ride, I'm looking at 70 in a very
few years. It's for fair weather local rides around the area or weekend
trips where I don't need to pull a cargo or camping trailer. I kept the
Wing for serious touring or camping trips pulling a trailer for a week
or more on the road. It's got a lot more weather protection than the
Harley so it will be ridden a lot more in cooler or wet weather. I
didn't even bother with connections for my heated clothing or any extras
on the Harley other than mounting my GPS on there. I guess you could say
it's just an old mans toy.

Sounds like you're in high cotton.

I'm low on motorcycle money, but I'm about to start looking for the arsonist
who set fire to the Govr's mansion. When I find him I'm getting an Ultra.
I know alot of people who think it is Jerry. I hope it's not Jerry. I don't
want an Ultra bad enough to turn him in, at least not right now.

We drove by the Hall of Fame twice Saturday. Looked over that way but didn't
    see u.

We need to get a meet up soon, during some fair weather.

Good ride Mr SKooter Bum. Let us all get a look at it when you are about
Plano. Would love to hear your views on the wing.

Well, I live down near Bryan so I don't make it up to your area very
often. I've met a few in Waco when I sold some parts a year or so ago,
and met Wakko, Mouse, George, and Jerry one weekend over at Yankee's
    Tavern in Carlos.
I love my Wing, it pulls my trailers when I'm on the road, handles well,
very comfortable as I can do 500 to 750 mile days at my age with no
problems. The best I've done was the RAT rally when I clocked 3,138
miles in 71 hours and 4 minutes, certifired by the IBA. So it's a great
bike but I just wanted one more Harley as my riding years draw to a
close. I don't think you can beat the Wing for a touring bike, and I've
ridden an Ultra but it just does not have the torque and HP that flat
six on the Wing has and the mileage is about the same. Actually the
mileage on the Road King and the Wing are both about 40mpg but the Wing
loves regular and the Road King pukes on anything but Super. So it's
cheaper to ride the Wing, especially on long trips.
    YMMV
