I've just gone through some of the paperwork I received with the
Laverda. I had only given it a cursory glance when I purchased the bike
so I didn't realise that with the exception of the first three years,
all changes of owner have been documented, plus amongst most of the
invoices I've got some for parts from Slater Bros from the late '70s,
MOTs from 1977 (not all of them though) etc pp. Oh, and of course I
noticed that the current MOT on that one has expired also...

It even includes the invoice from when the first documented owner (not
the first owner, though, looks like the second owner) bought it from
Mike Weston Motor Cycles in Birkenhead. He p/xd a Velocette Venom.

I would hazard a guess that said Venom is likely to be worth a little
more than the 500 quid P/X he got these days and more than likely,
worth more than the Laverda, too.
