    TOG@toil says...
I don't need one. I took the pillion footrests and seat off my bike so
no fucker will ask for a lift.

Thanks Kraggash, that's an excellent job you've done there. It's narrowed
things down a lot for me, now I just have to go and find somewhere that
sells them so I can go and have a look.

    Cheers,

    Grendel.

    Cheers for that guys,

So, autocom, brilliant but expensive for what it is (i did get the
impression they thought they were the best, and so charged for that
    privelage)

Starcom or intaride both similar, does what the autocom does, but cheaper,

Intaride sounds the better one purely from an aftersales support point of
    view,

High speed for use is 90 mph... the intercom is going on a virago 535, had
an indicated 105 out of her, but i've since fitted a big gay cruiser type
windshield, and now she'll only do 95 (well, that's what i'm blaming it on,
not me putting on more weight),
So i guess the intercom i go for just needs to work at 'normal commuting
through london' speeds for most bikers.

I don't really know what you mean. When I say "car park" I imagine a
multi-story, or Lakeside-type expanse of land. And I haven't see
    cashpoints in those locations.
This doesn't really bother me at all. Never did. If they hit me,
it's going to be their fault. And I pay attention enough that they
    don't.

You want to try the Middle East for this shit. Near my office there's
a six-lane traffic-light junction. Two lanes for going left, three
lanes for going straight on, one lane for going right. It's not
uncommon to see someone in the right-most "straight" lane turn left.

Our local Sainsbury's seems to have rather narrow lanes in the car park.
They have a cash point with double yellow lines in front. Utter waste of
    paint.
Indeed. I've never been hit either, but I have been tempted to get out and
have a few words. Apart from anything else I'm curious as to the mental
processes (if any) that are taking place.
Used to live there, sure I've mentioned it....
Oddly I got halfway through your post when I remembered that I'd not put my
bcaon on. I was thinking of chucking that into the thing about the
    roundabouts.

I spose it dunt really wind me up. What does increase my stress levels
(briefly) is (for example): I'm in the correct lane to join the M25, and
the plonker in the lane to my left wants to turn right. To prevent him
from smashing the nose of my car (Or indeed myself having to go all the way
around the roundabout) I used the horn in what I believe is the approved
manner) and *he* goes into one.

    4) People who accelerate when you overtake them despite them having
sat there for the last five miles at the same speed.

    5) People who tailgate and then when you move over, don't go any
    faster than you.

    6) People who stop at roundabouts and junctions despite having had a
clear view for hundreds of metres that there is nothing coming.

Only rates 6 on my rageometer
    that scores an 8
Hmmm, were they doing exactly 39 mph through the NSL and then into the 30?

God I had one like that coming back from meeting Champ and Verdigris
    last night.

BMW sat right up my chuff in a 40 A road where I'm doing 45ish,
overtakes me when it changes to 30 and I slow down, then sits at 50
when it went back to NSL.

  9. I've got an old Backchat system. Works entirely by audio and plastic
tubes. no electronics. Consequently it was both cheap and extremely
free of distortion. I recall that in comparative reviews only one
extremely expensive elecronic system was clearer at high speeds, and
    then not by much.
