Been looking fo an intercom, been a choice between autocom, starcom and the
    intaride evo,

Autocom too expensive for what i want, i know they are the best, but i wont
be riding over 90mph, so really dont need crystal clear speach upto 160 etc.

Starcom, i liked their bulkhead sockets, but dont like the 7 second delay
before music cuts back in after talking, so without going for the £250
digital version i cant get what i want either.

So intaride, and their evo intercom, which is digital and can be adjusted in
almost any way, but needs the factory to do that,

i like their single pin headset sockets, no chance of bent pins if you dont
align the din style plugs right before pushing it home, and i have found out
they do a bulkhead mounted socket on request, i just dont like dangely
cables sticking out of seats on bikes,

i know the intaride evo isnt going to be as good as the autocom, but does
anyone use one on here? any problems with it?

And I have an old, but still perfectly good, Rider/Pillion Autocom set
sitting in a box here waiting for someone to offer to pay the postage
on... ISTR there was somebody interested before Xmas, but I was too
busy at the time, so asked them to remind me in the new year. No idea
who it was now, so I'm open to requests.

Well it was your post I was replying to...

suggests it was one Dave Emerson who wanted it before, but only for
spares, so makes more sense for one of you to have it, but you'll have
to fight it out amongst yourselves.

    okies,

i cant fight much at the moment tho as my feckin ribs and back are killing
be, bruised black and blue from sam trying to comunicate with me through
punches and rib diggs as we ride along... so i really really need an
intercom if only to stop the damb rib digs :)

And whatabout Caberg's Bluetooth set up? Retro-fit to any helmet
(apparently) and at 150 squid, not overly expensive.

No wires is a good thing IMO.

Just fitted the Scala rider to my shiny new MultiTec.

    In black.

Wiv added pinlock, spare visor, and "whisper kit".

The missus liked it so much, she let me buy her one, too.

J&S at Greenwich: it would have been quicker to walk, probably.

Not too taken by the wireless ones TBH, i really cant be arsed having to
recharge them every night, and i want an intercom to play music through
mostly, satnav destructions and possibly bike to bike one day.

The smaller lady assistant seemed okay, the taller one still looked in
shock. Or she may have been older.

Still, they did quite well out of us two, anyway.

I think the Caberg thing does all that, but as you don't like charging
    (neither do I) it's moot.

No reply to my e-mail :( checked me spam filter, none in there except the
usual ones about making my cock even bigger than it is already,

can you re-send? just need to know where to send the dosh, oh and you'd need
to know my addy of course,

BTW, you dont happen to know which model of intercom it is? so i can look up
any bits i may need to install it, i recall the early autocoms needed a
power adaptor to power them from the bike, just a simple 12 volt to 9 volt
    regulator i believe.

i really hate having to charge thing up, always forget and loose the charger
etc, so where i have to use a rechargeable item, i wire in a permanent
charger cable, making the wireless thing pointless.

Think it stems from when i was little and my parents bought me a toy radio
controlled car, took a load of re-chargeable batteries, and took 16 hours to
charge, and ran for about 10 minutes,

ever since i've gone for engine powered toys, currently got a 1:6 scale
buggy i picked up for 300 euro's in germany (fookin bargian for that sized
'toy') 23cc strimmer engine, goes like hell, but handles almost as bad as
the scoot i had, rear wheel drive and rear wheel only brakes, but **** it's
fun, even if the dope smoking miserable bastard neigbour complains every
    time i get it out <fnar fnar>

tho i must admit i have an electric motor glider, but that's cos i wouldent
be allowed to fly an engine powered one where i fly, and i have a camera
onboard, so get better photo's with no vibes from an engine, plus half the
time people dont realise it's above them taking photo's, which can be handy,
especialy for capturing the nude sunbathers i flew over last year, but
without a video downlink, the photo's i get are only seen when i download
them to the pooter, and i couldent find the spot again ;)

Anyway, gone way off topic now... but as it's my thread i'm allowed to do
    that.. arent i :)
