Welll I phoned CN customer service first thing and explained how the
policy details were incorrect. She, a very friendly northerner, was
quite suprised, but amended my details and fed it back into the
system. Given the new details--I was somehow expecting this--she said
that the underwriters would not insure me and she would have to look
for another underwriter. She eventually gave me a quote that was
totally silly and I told her so. She offered to give me a full refund
without my asking for it, which I thought was very reasonable.

I asked in passing whether she had included my no claims, as the quote
seemed unreasonably high. She then told me didn't have me down had
having any no claims: the mistakes were toting up. She was getting
annoyed now that there were 3 errors and she would have to run it
    through the system again.

It ended with me paying an extra 50 quid over the original quote and I
found this acceptable seeing as there was breakdown recovery thrown in
and it was only £45 dearer than Bennetts.

So what have I learnt. CN are a reasonable bunch, but do double check
the details with operator giving the quote in the first place.

I got a *very* good quote off them for the CBR, in fact, it was a
cheaper deal than I was paying on my bandit - notwithstanding my
    occupation at the time.

They only made one error on the certificate, and that was the spelling
of my name. She was very apologetic and a new certificate landed on my
mat the next morning. Very good indeed.
