  1. Indeed, my mistake; it was actually 3.0 where the split took place.

I've actually got laying around here somewhere a still-sealed copy of OS/2
1.0; I wonder if I'd get anything for it on eBay? :p

Probably be worth something to someone - supply and demand though -
the CBA had a roomful of unopened copies of OS/2 1.0 I sighted in 1996
ish (IBM insisted on shipping them a copy of discs and manuals for
ever licence at that time), so I suspect that's not the only cache of
    it that was out there.

(I've got copies of OS/2 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 somewhere IIRC along with
    LANServer 3&4 (OS/2 server version), NT 3.1, 3.51, 4.0, Novell 3.??,
    4. ?? and 5.? etc etc - history gathering dust - I really should ebay
off that box of crap !!)

  4. I think Bill was optimistic in his assessment of what they'd be worth on
    eBay.

I advertised a 24-port HP AdvanceStack managed switch a couple of months ago
with the obligatory starting price of 99 cents (these things were worth many
$K when new), and didn't even get a "watcher," let alone a bidder.

I do still have loving memories of WarpServer, chugging along merrily for
three solid years without a single glitch nor re-boot - I've never heard
anyone experience anything like that under 'Doze.

Here's a good one .. on a new 32bit install the screen saver standard
with vista (photos) won't display my photos folder .. the 3-day-left
vista will and both are using the same folder with full permissions ..
all that's in there is JPGs .. go figure. I give up.
