Insurance payouts

    So I have several expenses from my little off (physio, recovery etc etc)
    that I need paid.

    Third party Ins co sent me a cheque yesterday for the recovery part (£44).

    Is it normal for them to send individual cheques for each item? I expected
    them to just send one...

    I don't know the general scheme[1] of things, but when I got mine it
    was in the form of one single payment, but it was three years after the
    accident.

    [1] this word seems so appropriate for the subject matter.
