    Anyone heard of MCE insurance?

tesco's and all the other compare the desert rat type sites list them as the
cheapest for me (£168, as opposed to £238 from ebike, bennets and all the
    insurers we've heard of)

on the compare sites, they say they dont offer CIHAGM cover, breakdown, or
riding abroad, but i wont need any of that this year (passports ran out,
still have the honda breakdown cover, and dont have any friends to do a
    CIHAGM with)

i'm getting conflicting ammounts of cover going direct to MCE compared to
the tesco one (different compulsary excesses, all MCE policies have
breakdown cover, tescos say they dont and the price differance is over 60
quid in the wrong direction going direct)

BTW, i've given up on trying to get the bike insured whilst on the trailer,
i'll just have to settle for hoping the fucker never breaks loose, and if
some uninsured twat runs into the trailer, i'll break his legs and take his
first born as payment for the bike.

Tar muchly, they seem to do good cover for a damn good price,

tho not sure about the 'bikers home insurance' does that cover oil dammage
to the lounge carpet for those who park their bikes inside during winter,
destroying the kitchen table by taking an engine appart on it and buggering
the dishwasher up by using it as a parts washer.

Meh, so i'm a ****, but at least i keep my self to my self in the real world
and not force my cuntishness on others.

actually i 'may' have a medical reason for part of the way i come accross on
here, i've been on dihydrocodene for decades, and i found out the other day
one of the side effects is 'rambeling, stretching stories out, and not
    knowing when to give up'

before i took the stuff i was shy as ****, would answer conversation
starters with a single word answer and so on, not sure which version of me i
    prefer.

Really? What for? And in what dosage? Cos you do realise, I presume,
that long-term use leads to a build-up of tolerance and addiction. In
    effect, you're a low-level heroin addict.
Not as such. Like other opiates it can lower inhibition levels and
appear to make the user more socially adept, but this is more
noticeable as the opposite effect in withdrawal.
The former would appear to have some benefits. Try going C0old Turkey
    and see what happens.

I use 'em for the scooter. They seem a bit hopeless on the paperwork
front, but cover is cover - until you have to make a claim. <Shrug>

I think a lot of the regulars here are long-term dihydrocodeine users.

back on topic (a fukin first for me)

    top marks to MCE,

i'd done the web quotes, £168 as the best price,

got a call today asking if i wanted to take it out (my fault for using a
    real contact number)

so decided to go thru the quote anyway, bloke on the other end was a biker
(has some litre bike he's set up mainly for track use, but rides on the road
    when he can)

was nice to have someone know about the bike i was insuring... didnt need
prompting for things like the imobiliser system (he said 'it's a post 2005
alp, so it'll have the hiss 2 then' and stuff like that)
better than the usual sales droid with broken english who dosent even know
    what a motorbike is.

Anyhoo, asked if breakdown cover could be removed, not an option on the web
quotes, no probs he says... 'your honda is still under it's dealer warrenty
with the breakdown service so you don't need our breakdown cover for another
    year' impressed.

he got my quote down to £150 or so, with everything i needed on it, includes
CIHAGM cover, so if i ever get any friends.... euro cover and so on.

and the best bit, he told me that as the bike is mine, insured by me and
fully comp, when it's on my trailer being towed, it's covered,
makes sense really, but ebike exclude trailer cover as 'your not riding the
    bike'
MCE say that comprehensive is just that, if wind blows it over in your
garden, you can claim, hence if a strap snaps and it falls off the trailer,
    i can claim, sorted.

They sound like a decent company, i know they are not the underwriters, but
sounds like they'd help all the can in the event of a claim, which is better
than the time i had to claim on my motorhome insurance, broker didnt want to
know, and underwriter fucked me about for a month, that was after they told
me it was upto me to find a repair shop as theirs couldent fit large
    cehicles in it.

Arthritis, ulcerative colitis, ankylosing spondylitis and so on, my joints
and bones are pretty fucked up,
Dosage, upto 10 x 30mg tabs a day depending on the pain,

yup i know i'm addicted to em, i have to vary the dose all the time to avoid
a high level build up of intollerance to em, so can take 10 a day for no
more than 3 days, then have to work down to my more usual 5 a day,

believe it makes morphine in the blood stream, but yeah, i'm a perscription
    induced junkie.
**** that, ran out of the fuckers a few years ago whilst abroad, never
again, the fucking ants crawling under my skin, technicolour crocodiles
running over the celing, the kettle that kept asking me out... mind it was a
better shag than my GF :)

  18. Indeed. It should be "morphine addict"..
    Indeed. Dependency != addiction.
    Makes me look healthy.
    But consistent with UKRM-do.

Get thee down off that serious high horse. I'm sure that he knows

Yes - based in Rushden - my daughter works in Customer Services there.
They seem to be OK and the directors are bikers - whether that's a plus
or a minus I will let you decide.
