insurance: Broker Direct

    The Pru's renewal quote is, unsuprisingly, taking the piss so I've been
    shopping around.

    I've never heard of Broker Direct but I'm getting a favourable car
    insurance price from some of the online comparison sites.

    Their website does not give much info as most of it is password protected
    for brokers only http://www.brokerdirect.co.uk/

    Anyone here have a policy with them?

    The broker also listed quotes from other insurers on the screen, inc. Axa &
    NIG.

    Anyway, a letter arrived today from the broker in Hampshire. They trade on
    the web as computerquoteinsurance.com

    The broker's letter lists the insurer as Broker Direct. The BD printout of
    Key Facts lists the underwriter as Zurich.

    <gets quote from Zurich.co.uk> £45 dearer but £50 Quidco. It has UK
    roadside assistance as an extra too.

    <gets quote from Zurich Connect, an Irish subsidiary> £50 dearer, no
    breakdown cover & no Quidco

    Oh well, another 3 weeks to procrastinate before having to decide
