Insurance Bargain

  1. Had to tell someone.

Got my Insurance quote from my broker yesterday £397.00 for a 2003 Z1000.
Last year it was closer to £500.00. Went online to Motorcycle Direct and
they quoted £240.00. Next an email arrives from them saying phone them to
see if they could do better. Did this and the premium (with AXA) came down
to £209.00, including Green Flag and Legal Cover. Good result.

Me 40 with 2 years NCB.

Went through the same process just a couple of days ago. Last year around
£470, renewal premium £370. Best price I could get online was £352. Then,
Motorcycle Direct phone and I end up with £240 (also with AXA) incl. Green
Flag and legal cover. Perhaps AXA and Motorcycle Direct are having a bit of
    a 'promotion'.

    I'm chuffed enough, anyway.

    Me: 37, 3 years NCB, VFR 800. Evidently, you're a better risk than I am -
you're not a vicar, are you?
