Insurance again.

  1. Insurance reminder arrived the other day from good old Auntie Carole...
£271 FC for the Pan, TP for any other bike etc etc.

Did a bit of checking round and www.motorcycledirect.co.uk came up
trumps at £182.05 - rang Auntie to tell her to feck off, and she matched
the price! A bit of a result as I've got breakdown cover included which
    the motorcycledirect mob didn't offer.

Hapy happy days... Insurance has actually gone down about 20 quid from
    last year.

£540 for both bikes fully comp with all the usual CN trimmings.. but I
noticed they have the ZRX valued at £6500 and the SZR at £2000, so need
to advice them £4.5K and £1200 are closer to the mark - hopefully
    that'll put it below 500 quid ..

Still not cheap - but you do live in a crime hot-spot I suppose...

One of the questions many of the companies I rang asked, was whether I
wanted to carry a pillion - apparently they offer a (small) discount if
    you say no...

What a fucking cheek - the vehicle is designed to carry up to two people
FFS. You don't get car insurance cheaper if you promise to make sure
you only go out alone do you? Actually, Ginge isn't the right person to
answer that - having no mates it's a moot point.
