It's that time of year again ...

Has anyone heard of an outfit called Bike Team Ltd? If so, are they
    any good?

They've been my broker for two years - they are okay - not outstanding
customer service, but they did give me a discount for an advanced course I
    did.

So overall - recommendation with a slight reservation

I've been with them for 2.5 years, I think, and I've found the customer
service to be excellent - very friendly to deal with on the phone.
    Recommended with no reservations.

I just always seem to get the same bloke, who always seems very stand
off-ish - maybe it's in reaction to my phone demeanour, but I'm not sure as
    I don't get it elsewhere.
So long as Equity Red Star aren't the underwriters.

I think JP uses them as well. I might be using them or it might be
H&R. Can't remember which was this year and which last. I'll check
    when I get home.

Hmmm, think I've spoken to him once - I think that's just the way he is.

I think I usually speak to the same lass, and when I've phoned to speak
to them about a letter I've received from them, she's bright enough to
actually remember sending me the letter.
Can't remember. They're all as bad as each other though.

They are brokers, they got me the cheapest quote with CIHAGM ins and
pillion, the service was good, the chap phoned me back and followed up
    on his promises.

I think they're a bunch of useless cnuts, who couldn't organise anything
even if you'd written them instructions (which I did).

Lovely, thanks to all for the recommendations. I phoned 'Bike Team'
this afternoon and spoke to a pleasant chap called Paul. Very helpful
plus they've trimmed about £40 off my premium from Aunty Carol (who
was unwilling to move at all on the renewal quote they sent out).

Cover is with Equity Red Star (as was Aunty Carol's) - I've had bikes
underwritten by them before so I think I shall give them a go for this
    year's renewal.

dwb emerged from their own little world to say
ERS operate the BMW scheme. They have lost a lot of customers by acting as
Dan describes[1]. BMW dealers sort quotes for new business and the prices
are often very good. The problems come when owners change bikes or want to
make a claim as this involves direct contact with ERS.

I wouldn't be surprised if BMW find another service provider in the near
    future.

    Yes.

And if you do, make bloody sure it's easy to prove it's the other parties
fault as I can't imagine the hassle it would be if it were anything but cut
and dry if my experiences were anything to go by.

Ahh, the horns of a dilemma.

See, these Bike Team people have given mt the best quote by a good
    margin.

    Underwritten by ERS....
