Injection Control

  1. .... or whatever.

Remember I posted here about the bike sort of 'hunting' whenever I went
over a bump ? Well I didn't want to count my chickens, sort of, but about
a month ago, on a hunch, I whipped out the engine control thingy under the
saddle and above the battery, and pushed the connector a bit more snugly
    onto it [1].

Since then, it runs like a wee sweetie. :)

[1] I wanted to take a piccie, but SO has fucked off to Chartres with her
    digital camera

It's funny. Nobody else would feel the need to specify the location their SO
    had fucked off to.
But it's a great opportunity for you to throw another French place-name into
    the mix, isn't it?

I reckon you've been planning this for months - a fictitious gremlin with a
fictitious bike so you can blame your fictitious girlfriend for fictitiously
fucking off with your fictitious camera to a town in a your fictitious
    country of origin!!

  3. Don't be an Ace. Virtually _everyone_ mentions place names on here.

genuine_froggie was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Next time, use some proper electronic contact cleaner on the
connectors before putting them back together.

If I recall correctly I think there should be a small locking screw on
the connector to prevent it loosening.... and a clip that you have to
unclip and hold back (via a small hole in the tool tray) to allow the
    ECU to be removed etc

  8. I _might_ be mistaken, but it was probably 'jiggled', when the garage in
the South of France [1] charged the battery.

[1] quick, Sorby -- another place name !!!!!

  13. Nope, not yet, but I've bought the Haynes manual from the W.H. Smith's on
rue de Rivoli [1], and I'm waiting for a break in the reading marathon, to
    get to work.

  16. Funny you should ask that. SO [1] uses it all the time.

Did you have any more questions ?
