I recently inherited a drag bike from my recently deceased Uncle. I am in the process of restoring her, due to that fact that she endured the worse that mother nature could throw at her for 2 years without any protection. My problem is this. In the tear down, I've been able to ascertain the motor as being manufactured by MTC Engineering. http://www.mtceng.com. The motor has only the following 3 identifiers: 1). Vertical -- 5432N1 on the shifter side 2). OIL 3700CC on the kick starter side. 3). MTC on the engine case. The good news is that the bike appears to have been properly stored for an extended winterizing, battery was removed, fluids drained, tank drained. I have contacted MTC and albeit they confirmed that they made the case, that was about all of the information that they could provide. I am a much better body man than a motor man. I'm hoping that some of you gurus might be able to ascertain from some pics what this thing is! It can be viewed at http://www.geocities.com/rodtech99/ladyk.html The pics are located on the left hand side, and some of the closeups on the motor are more toward the bottom. I appreciate all of the help that you can provide!! I really want to fire this bike, but need to know what I have before I do. Thanks, phil
Trick question right. Kawi Z1 motor, I think they dropped the kick start lever in 79 or 80. Black head is probably either 73 or 77 KZ1000R.
