Seems Infinity is up & running again.

Two shops, Cardiff[1] & Guildford are listed as "closed".

[1] not surprising, as I said in the previous thread. Piss poor planning as
    far as location is concerned.

Not AFAIK - they got involved with a group thing a while back, with some
sort of bikes-uk thing on the web. That failed pdq and they went
    independent again.

Google still finds a website. They sell Kwak, Suzuki & Yamaha so I've not
been for a while as nothing in their ranges float my boat.

I've always found them to be nice people.

  3. My info is that of the three partners in the biz, one wanted out and the
other two needed to raise the cash to buy him out. Hence the closures.

    Doesn't that imply Honda?

On a similar note, I happened to go past what used to be Colin Collins
in Harrow last night and it is now Harrow Moto. According to the
website[1] they're going to do mainly Yamaha.

It's ages since I went down that road despite living just around the
corner so I don't know how long they've been up & running.

heh. Harrow already has it's fair share of mobile phone shops: all of
the usual airtime providers, phones4u, several independents and three,
    yes three, carphone warehouses.

No. I'm more inclined towards EU brands.

In the past SWSB have had the BMW, Triumph & Honda franchises but have
resolutely refused to go the solus route. Hence they have survived whilst
those that were persuaded to go solus cease to exist.

that's what I was thinking - to me, Motorola is the US chipset
manufacturer, rather than the mobile phone company.

Oh, that's Freescale these days. I think Motorola are out of the
semiconductor business; or at least they are in mobile comms.

oh I know, but for historical reasons I'll always associate the name
Motorola with the 680n0 microprocessor series.

I know, I know - I just don't expect that sort of playful pseudo-
racism from the likes of dog.
