indicator problem with zzr 250

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Eleonora Preston, Jan 3, 2004.

  1. My daughter just bought a second hand zzr 250. She just learned to ride, but
knows nothing about maintenance. The indicators on the bike stay on instead
of just blinking, and there is a 'buzzing' noise under the seat when the
indicator is turned on. Does anyone know what could be the problem? Is it
something simple? Or should she take it to a motorbike shop?

    Thanks

    El

Could be the indicator relay is shot or not connected propperly. get her to take the seat off and look for a little round "can"
with 2 electrical contacts on the one side (i believe thats the shape of the ones in there). if after reseating the electrics it
still wont work, then just go to a bike shop and buy a replacement. You would be looking at $10 at the worst, most likely
    about $7.

Doesn't need to be a bike shop.

Any car parts place - AutoBarn, SuperCheap, Repco.

hell, I think even Woolies sells them!

For best results, spend the extra and get an electronic one.

I thought a private email message might be more appropriate.
