Last nite, I was watching 'Biker Build-off'. Featured on that program was
regularly Indian Larry competing against someone else. Last nite, was an
episode where he was competing against Mondo from Denver Choppers. I noticed
right off that there was something a bit different in his attitude in this
episode as opposed to other one's I've seen him in. The bike he built was
one where the entire frame was a chain, it was powder coated purple flake
and had his typical question mark tm. Just the way he talked and the way he
rode during the episode, it was different.

It turned out, that was the episode they were filming when he died. He and
Mondo met after they built their bikes and rode together with their crews
from Philly to Charlotte NC. His bike kept breaking with one problem after
another. He didn't give though, fixing all his problems as they'd happen.
When they arrived in Charlotte, he was greeted with a warm reception by all
the people and he did his stunt "antics" on the bike. It was later that day
he was killed in the bike wreck doing those performances.

The episode played back one of his interviews that was for the episode and
he commented about what he wanted his crew to do once he was gone. It's
    truly sad!

I knew that Indian Larry had began doing Discovery Channel's shows, but I
didn't know he was on an episode when he was killed. For some reason, I was
under the impression by what others had said that he was just at a
    motorcycle rally....not a biker build-off.

In case anyone's interested, he won the build-off and the producer of the
program presented his crew with the award. Mondo had some good words to say
    also.

I'm looking at buying that episode on DVD just for the historical aspect.
