In retrospect, the car may have been more comfortable...

  1. Yeah I know. Sydney also gets more rain than Melbourne on average too. Being
a Melbournite originally I can truly say I could never go back after
experiencing Perth weather. It is the middle of winter here and I am looking
out of my office window at blue skies. Heaven.

  2. Cue scene from Peter Sellers' "The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Man Chu..."

"Is the weather always this piss-poor in England?"
"Oh no, we have several bright days every year!"

This just goes to prove a saying I use a lot, "there is no such thing

I have ridden in attrocious weather and have stayed dry. I have a BMW
jacket and Tiger Angel pants, with Medal boots, but I may get a Tiger
    Angel jacket next time around.
If you get the overlap working OK then NOTHING gets in to make you
    uncomfortable.

Since I don't try submerging myself in water then I stay dry.

Do yourself a favour and buy the right gear, it is money well spent.
And remember being warm helps keep the concentration, so you are safer
    as well.
