  1. Isn't that a tad pricey for an "SOB"?

Someone at work is selling a CBX 1000, a reg, T&T 43K miles new
tyres/exhausts for £2500 based in Cheshire. As they are the sort of SOB
that someone on here is probably likley to be interested in and they don't
pop up that often I thought I'd post it up.

Doesn't seem wrong, not that its cheap or VFM, as the 6-cyl CBX are a
little beyond SOB territory. Bona fide classics. Apparently.

On the subject of unusual bikes , Streetbike had an A-reg RD500 with under
10k miles in what looked near mint condition for £5.5k today.
Is that a fairly typical price for something like that or are they taking
    the piss?

Taking the piss, mightily. I wouldn't pay that much for a second rate
500 stroker, the Gamma was always the better bike.

They're taking the piss. 2-2.5K for a average one and maybe 4K for a
superb minter with the ally frame.

Thought it sounded high , although thats no great surprise from there.
Streetbike's prices for mainstream stuff like bandits seem fair enough but
for anything odd they seem to just think of a number and double it.

Worthing has an immaculate low mileage silver one in his showroom as
