    Hello Guys,

I own Yamaha WR 250 F and I'd like to bring it from the US to the UK. Does
anybody know if there is any differences between Us and European models ? I
want to make sure I could find parts there.

    Thank you,
    Kevin.

Denis Crespe fascinated us all by saying...
US models are left-hand-drive. The throttle housing, clutch lever, front
brake lever, gear change and rear brake lever will all need to be swopped
from where they are now, to the other side of the machine.

The seat will need to be modified so you can sit backwards on the
machine, and a fair amount of cerebral tuning will need to be undertaken
to ensure you can ride at above 55mph.

  3. The difference in the fuel between there and here will affect the
handling of the machine. American 'gas' contains right-wing biasing
effector additive which the bike is designed to cope with; running it
on British fuel (petrol) will rob the bike of this influence and cause
it to want to veer left all the time, with you ending up in the
ditches and hedges quite a lot.

Not worth it, not if you value your sanity.

Don't forget that tires don't grip on our roads and I think that
    having a muffler is illegal.
