Import a problem?

    Just found out my B/Bird is an import [1]
    Will that change the book price by much ?
    [1] Bloody HPi'd and all that when I bought it, but I didnt check this bit

  7. it all depends on the spec of the bike and wear it was imported from
    ,compared with a uk supplied machine , if the specs identical then you wont
    lose to much

  11. The question I get asked (insured two bikes in the last month) is
    "Is this an import that is not normally sold in the UK?" So I'd guess
    he's in the clear.

    Dr Ivan D. Reid says...
    IME the fact that a bike is a parallel import makes bugger all
    difference to the price if it's a model normally sold in the UK, in a
    standard UK colour scheme and built or converted to UK spec.
