Okay, enough of all this "love-in" shit!!!

We're going riding next week. Who's up to it? I'm not talking some
easy riding where the buzzards attack the riders thinking the
motorcycles are their dinner. I'm talking some real high end riding.
I'm busting out the Hurricane and plan to ride it. I've been watching
all these GP reviews and it has me in the mood to ride.

Next week, I plan to leave Mesquite and head to Cranfills Gap. I'll
stop in at Hico and pick up a nice pie lunch. I'm doing a single day
ride and will be punching through the twisties.

At the end of the day, I'm planning on falling into Twin Peaks and
maybe trade in my boots for some furry boots....

    Who's up to it??? Dusty???

I do spread myself thin at times.

    More specifics??? Geez!!!

Okay, I have to get new rubber shoes on the Hurricane. I have to also
get the cam chain adjuster replaced. The tires are more important than
the adjuster...although the adjuster causes a clatter at warm starts,
and it's slightly annoying when the adjuster loses the pressure.

After I get the tires replaced, I'll likely do the ride on Sunday.
Leave Sunday morning to Hico. I'll take the most twisty roads I can
find on the way out there. After I get to Hico, I'll top off and head
to Cranfills Gap. There are plenty of high speed sweepers involved in
this ride, so anyone wanting to join in will have their share of good
riding. The best portions of this ride are roads with no traffic and
out in middle of nowhere. I don't plan to hear all the "you need to
ride slower so we can keep up", so anyone who wants to ride in a tight
constricted group might need to find another ride. Anyone who wants to
ride their own ride, you're welcome to join in.

Depending on the start, breakfast might be arranged at a meeting
spot...I'm thinking the Cracker Barrel off I-20.

Lunch will be @ The Koffee Kup.

The day's ride will end @ Twin Peaks in Mesquite. Those in FtWorth
that want to end early are welcome to do so. I'll be doing dinner at
the end of the ride and then leave the restaurant on my way home.

The standard rules to this ride will apply....keep it safe by not
wrecking into others on the ride, if you ride ahead of the group and
change roads stop and wait for everyone to catch up, and if you ride
your bike into the trees or pastures (or a car or two) don't blame
anyone but your own fool self! It's going to be hot, so dress
accordingly, drink plenty of fluids...and don't bitch because it's
hot, because I just said it's going to be hot! It'll probably end up
with about a 400 - 500 mile day, so if your ass gets sore wear plenty
    of Monkey Butt and padding.

Sounds somewhat like a ride that Pat in Lewisville was setting up. It's
not a 500mi ride but hitting Hico for some pie is on the agenda. A note
from Pat - the Koffee Kup only takes CASH - no debit cards, etc.

I'm into falling into Twin Peaks. Got out of the office at 8:30 and made
a beeline for the Mountains of Lewisville. Saw some Peeks (mispelling is
    intentional) that I coulld REALLY enjoy falling into. :-}

BTW - TP's pulled pork nachos are excellent.

OK, I'll likely make it. The "Cracker Barrel off I-20" could be more
    specific.

I will have to check and see what kind of inventory we have at work
Sunday before I can say I will be joining you for sure. I have a
couple of questions about the route...Do you plan to go thru any high
water areas?? Do I need to bring my snorkel?? Are we planning to hit
any gravel, dirt or mud roads, ditches, lagoons, lakes, ponds,
pastures?? I just want to be prepared this time so I dont slow anyone
    down.

With Acorn we will never leave concrete. He will try asphalt, but doesn't
    like it.

Well hell...I have never been on a ride where just stayed on the
concrete and asphault before. This will be a different kind of ride
all together for me and the wing. With a ride such as this, I might
have to check the air pressure in my tires and my oil level.

    Me thinks someone's hooked!!! :)

Is that the same Pat that used to ride a sportster and had it lost up
in a dealership closing while it was in the shop being worked on? If
so, I haven't heard from him since that happened. I thought maybe he
just lost his ride and thought we wouldn't accept him being
    "rideless"....like someone else I know here! :)

I would've said the exit, but I don't remember exactly. It's the only
one off I-20 in Arlington....I think the exit is Bowman or Bower or
    something...

I watched you leave concrete on a ride once....does that count?

I almost left the concrete on the ride in Arkansas, but there was dirt
and grass and I got skeered and realized I better not try it....

You might lighten the load just a bit, by removing all flotation dev-
ices.. handlebars excluded.. Be sure to get Wakko on board for
the ride, just in case there might be some pushing required..

Big Ed should be out in front when you commence the return trip..
for buzzard detection purposes.. (note).. Big Ed should never be
"out front" during the "going" phase of the run, however.. everyone
knows that he's not quite up to speed when he is "going"..

Reads like you guys have a run that should be of interest.. Sure
would like to join up, but my week is pretty well centered, at this
point.. You can expect me to abort this entire week.. at any given
moment.. These guys just don't know who they are messing with
when it comes to all this personal physical stuff.. hmmm.. Guess
you just should've been there.. lol

Skipper, as far as ''high water'' son, I think you would be hard pressed
to find any high water in the area till maybe-----------October.

Dusty gravel, dirty dirt, bumpy unleveled asphalt, yeah ya'll Probably
    could find.

Gonna be 107• in Big D, for the next several days......No more worry
about making deceisions should I ride thru the deep ass water, should I
not ride thru the water......evil grin Walker style.......

Awright, glad you are back on here. So, if someone threatened to
''race'' you, you would dust off a certain hidden bike, from the
    shed..and tear 'em up, huh.
A goodun, Dusty. Hope you continue tohang around....... /bjay/
