Well, been looking for a Valkyrie for a few months now. I spotted one at
my local Honda Store last week. I looked at it, left, went back, left
again. But today, I had Honey with me. Well I bought it. Shouldnt have
    taken her along (heh-heh).
Yes, she was the one that really wanted it.Well, not anymore than me,
    but, heh-heh.
So, now we got two unique motor-sicles.
A quick V45 Magna, and a Mighty Valk, I just love it. Aint Life grand.
I had never rode a Mighty Valk.
AT first, that sucker was a little bit intimidating, let me tell ya.
That big ole' outline6 engine, looks like a Boss Hoss Jr. (to me)
But I straddled it, and kinda wobbled off the parking lot, and hit the
service road, and within 10 minutes felt pretty good.
Rode back, Honey and I went to Panchos Mex place, ate and talked it
    over.
Honey said, ‘‘I surely do like it. I like it cause it is
different.’’ I said, ''lets go back and buy that big ole dude''.
They close at 2pm, and we get back at 130. I wanna ride er' agin'. He
    said ''do it!''.
I rode on some traffic roads, and I go into a parking lot, and practice
the ''friction zone'' clutch deal, to see how balanced she was, and
ya'll, ''she felt just fine, didnt feel heavy atall.'' I bet she out
weighs my Magna 200 lbs, reckon?
Rode back, Honey gets on, and we did the same thang'.
Rode around in circles on that parking lot area and back in traffic, and
couldnt even tell little Honey was back there. <g>.
Went back to the store, and bought it.
$8100. I made em put on some hard leather $450 bags, and a 21 inch WS,
    in the deal.
    They'll do that next week.
Right now, no WS, and we're gonna ride it later in the evening. Thanks
    for listening.
    I be excited. (chuckle)

Congrats, BJay!! Sounds like you made yourself a good deal. I'm happy for
you. Ride safe and enjoy. Keep us up to date with your impressions of that n
ew bike of yours. You didn't mention what year it was, and what color, or
how many miles. Come on BJay, we want all the details, lol.

    Best regards,

Congrats on the new bike BJ. Discontinuing the Valk, the Magna and the
Nighthawk were the three worst decisions the marketing gurus in Honda
    ever made.

The Valk is a terrific ride, specially for those long days in the
    saddle.

    Enjoy.

    Thanks Vic.
It is an 02, Black with some tomato red.
    With only 15,000 miles.
Let me tell ya', I got interested in wanting one, when I realized Honda
    don't make 'em anymore.
More than that, though, The valk really reminds me of my first GL1000
    G/W.
A 75 model, and it had absolutely nothing on it. no bags, no faring,
nothing. But it had this ‘‘bag ass motor’’ that stuck out, and
no body had ever seen anything like it around here.
Vic I rode it everywhere. Loaded it up, pack style all on the ''sissy
bar'' (what we use to call 'em), It was many thousands of miles, before
I ever put a plain regular crusier WindShield on it. (grin)
So, this Valk reminds me of that ole stripped down GW, a Candy Apple
    Red'un.
In those days, I never rode 2 up on no trips. The area where the
passenger would sit, was my sleeping bag, and tent. I leaned back on it,
and scooted down the road with a coupla friends. Thanks for you

Thanks Don. You are right about what Honda did?
You know, all of us, like riding something a little bit diffrent. We
wanna ride up, and maybe a person or two will comment on our 'Rides'',
    that is human nature.
Sooooo, I started looking for a Valkyrie.
DON, I bet, there's not 3 of them around here.
Yes, Honey and I wanted a bigger, heavier, smooth running motorSicle
We be' planning a week long trip one of these days, and wanted comfort,
and room to pack, by george.
    Thanks, for your kind words.
Cheers to ya, for getting to Ride again.

When I called him Sunday morning, he said he was proud, and couldnt wait
to ride along side of it, next week.
Well, I don't rightly know, if the Valk can stay with his Stage Three
    set up.=G=
~I havent gotten use to the Mighty Valk enough to really ''Gun'' it. For
one thang' It doesnt have a WindShield yet.
Boy, how do those 1%'ers ride with out WShields, I rode about a hundred
miles around the area today, and My neck is stiff, dang.
Thanks Tim, yes I have always wanted to ride East, the closest to you
was a coupla trips to Nashville Tn, and a ride through the Smokies and
alittle bit of the Blue Ridge, and on down to Alabama, and back home.
But, I wanna ride to your area one of these days, before I git' tooo
dern old. But I can tell riding that Valk would make a big difference,
    when I do! (heh-heh-) bjay~

Hey, congrats on the new ride, BJ. That's a really large bike, no? I have a
co-worker that has one, and when parked next to either of my Harleys it
surely makes them seem tiny in comparison.

    Yes it really is.
Compared to my previous Honda cruisers, I am sitting almost tippyToe'd.
Not really, but not completely flat footed. My son will lower the seat a
bit, for me. An inch would do the trick.
Yes, that big ole' 6 opossed-cylinders, do look pretty dang big. I didnt
actually know how to describe the setup of the cylinders heads.. They
are not inLine, I was calling them ''outline'' the way they are parallel
to the pavement. My friend said they are ''opposing'' one another, is
    that what you say?
I will ask the Honda folks this Thursday when I take it back for the WS
and nice Bags, and a new battery.

Well, I think you'll find that the Valk was traditionally
known as F6. Of course, this meant Flat Six, or more
conventionally referred to as Horizontally Opposed.

There are many sites dedicated to the Valk. I guess
some, due to it's discontinuance, have closed down.
    But, here's a few the I frequent.
