    Hi
After seeking advice from the group about regarding whether I was too old to
start riding at 48, I'm now the owner of a full motorcycle license as from
yesterday. I failed my first test last September with 2 serious faults but
this time everything went great and I just picked up 2 minor faults. So I
can't wait to buy my first bike

    regards
    Steve

Nice one, well done. Of course you aren't too old, my dad is still
riding at 62 and only returned to biking a couple of years back after
    over 10 years.

Just be reasonably sensible with what you pick, while you get used to
riding. A nice brand new ZX-10R should be just the job :)

Congratulations. From your post above I can ascertain that you're now
firmly entrenched in at least 2 main and 4 sub "biking-cultures".

Time to get the 'nodding' thread kicked-back into life.

Your OP is showing as 10:50 and I've got 10:22 showing for my reply.
As you say, it must be a news server issue. FWIW I'm using the German
    server.

    Ho hum.

Well considering the clock on the wall said 9:50 and thats the time
showing in my newsreader as the time I posted then whats the problem[1]

[1] I did have a quirky problem with a NTP server setting my clock
incorrectly a while ago, what time are you showing my posting as? Although
yours is showing as posted at 9:22 so there may be an issue somewhere.

So am I. I think it is probably something at my end, I'll have a look
    into it.

  16. Congrats on getting certified to ride in a Hardley in Merkia.
Now when are you going to get a proper licence to ride in England?
Or are you too old to learn your mother tounge?

Jeez, if you want to start listing hackneyed old phrases we'll be here all
    day.

    "....of this parish"; "And that's different how?"; "Bad form and all that";
"Stinky bait"; "But what *is* normal"...

The full tedious list is available from your local Post Office.
