I'm not thick!

  1. I need a job where I spend my time with the English and not with fucking
    Pakis. I know this now.

    Fucking Pakis!

Right. Who's gonna give me a job?

I'm an intelligent, hard working geezer but I don't want to work with
    Blacks or Pikis.

    Go on!

Tell him to relax. All the white Eastern Europeans will drive all the
Pakis (et all) back to their ancestral homelands eventually

Apparently a number of agencies are trying to recruit Polish speaking
supervisors in a number of mechanical engineering trades.

The fact that we're starting to see workers that don't understand
English in either the written or spoken form isn't a good idea when it
comes to safety issues in the type of work I do. This week I've been
on a plant where one type of alarm means evacuate the buildings
because of a fire and another type means get in a building and shut
all windows because there's a gas leak close by.

I'm not convinced that simply having a Polish speaking supervisor
gets all the information over during a safety induction and when
you're working on a power station, chemical plant, oil refinery etc a
small misunderstanding can lead to a big bang.
