Yes, I keep having that nagging thought as well...

If it is, this time around there are few in on the scam and it's got
much more sophisticated. But it's possible...

    If it's any consolation...

I was a complete crash bandicoot for years. Fell off my bike 3-4
times a year. Fell off other people's bikes now and then too!

Haven't done it for quite a while (well aside from a parking incident
and a U turn in driveway failure) for which I praise the Superbike
School who showed me what I was doing wrong.

    is of the opinion:
Charmayne wasn't a troll either, she was just a little confused over which
part of a motorcycle was supposed to be on the road...

Is that what that was all about? I was wondering who the hell Charmayne
was - thought it must be some kind of 'in' joke..

No I'm not a troll - thanks Lemmiwinks. Fark, I've been posting here for 2
years now, have been to PI, 2 Unaugurals and organised a couple of Canberra
get-togethers for ausmoto visitors (Clem's bum will attest to that!) - and I
STILL have to prove myself? **** that!

's ok will, you're safe. It seems to be a one-woman jinx...I'm stockpiling
karma credits and I'm sure there's a huge Lotto win at the end of it!

  10. Harsh, Will. As far as we know she's only ever dropped her own bike.
Just don't park next to her.

Pretty close... won't bore you with the embarrassing details, but yep, it
was very low speed and there was a very little incline involved.
I need to grow some of those muscley things. Adrenaline & Anger just aren't
enough (maybe I need to be Angrier. <practising saying GRRRRR>)

Nah, not very convincing... I'd better start lifting weights again...

    bikerbetty is of the opinion:
She is an in joke... Charmayne was/is a girl who had a problem with falling
off her bike, which happened to be rather lurid pink GN250. The general
consensus was that the bike was photoshopped to be pink and she was a troll,
and she got a double barrel of harsh week.

I happen to know the previous owner of the pink bike, though, and met
Charmayne once when I helped her out by picking up the bike from one of her
accident sites. So neither you nor Charmayne are trolls, but it is awfully
    fun to accuse people...

<indignant sniff> I'm not Charmayne and I'm not the least bit confused over
which part of the motorcycle is supposed to be on the road. I just sometimes
have trouble keeping it there :p

Et tu Andrew? I'll remember that... <evil grin>

I DO tend to only drop my own bike (coz I'm too chicken to ride anybody
else's in case I drop it). Dropping all the bikes at Stay Upright doesn't
count, coz I was only brand new.

    But with style!
Only a couple of times injured more than my pride.

Both were the Devil[1], piss off a Ducati single[2] at your peril!

[1] The first time I threw myself under it to save it and the ungrateful
bastard put a footpeg through my boot and an inch into my foot...

[2] By going too slow. Both were loses under brakes, one on scattered
gravel, one on a mossy bend.

I'm not convinced that YOU are real. You could be part of the
    Charmaine charade.

But if lemmiwinks says Betty's real, then that's good enough for me.

I just have trouble visualising a potty mouthed, beer wenching school
marm writing children's books. It boggles my tiny, wine-addled brain
    remnants severely.

    Go the Greens !!!

That's because Betty is unreal and unbelievable [1]

    G-S

[1] In the totally not a troll, definitely a children's book writing
school marm, 60's decade meanings of the words ;-)

[2] Charmaine OTOH is unreal and unbelievable in the webster dictionary
    senses of the words! [3]

[3] And that bike was definitely photo-shopped [4]

[4] Anyone who claims otherwise is either trolling, mistaken or part of
    the plot :p

I'm a short arse, but I'm not exactly the 90lb weakling type and I still
have trouble with bikes that have seats higher than those that leave me
with just my ankles up in the air a bit.

OTOH there are plenty of people who are shorter than me and manage fine.

Strength won't hurt, but it isn't the answer by itself.
