Heh. I once had to pick up a 5ft by 3ft poster that couldn't be rolled up.
I'm sure that it was a set up and they were all watching inside as I rigged
up about 6 or 7 bungees to strap it to my back. Remember getting blown all
over the road on that one :)

    West-1 IIRC.

Damon Hill rode for them and I remember seeing a photo of him wheelying
his courier bike in a Santa outfit

I always understood that the 850s were superior to the 750s,
especially the early ones, which mine was.

The courier company had green as a corporate colour? If so, theyr'e
who I did my one month with, but I was based in Cambridge.

Nice clear run for me in the car today and some absolutely fantastic
    grub for lunch.

Had one minor problem after laying on the grass at Bayham Abbey with my
arm over my eyes to shield the sun - when I took my arm away (having
almost dozed off) my right eye seemed to have become a lot more short
sighted than it previously was. Not awful, but bad enough that I had to
let V drive home - not something to be considered lightly.

Think I must have squashed my eyeball a bit. It sorted itself out over a
couple of hours but had me a bit freaked for a while. Odd.

  7. Oh no. Nothing daunted, he carried on. In fact he was still there when I
    finally left.

However, the same bunch of cu... employers printed me out a POD sheet
that had the pickup address in Bristol; the controller that day was new
at the job and the stupid twat transposed pickup and delivery addys.
Going down was ok, but the return journey was the worst weather I'd ever
experienced on the M4. I made sure I got paid for that one.

I collected a dress shirt from somewhere in Piccadilly and delivered
it to Elstree Studios, where Paul McCartney was making a video.

Is that why women get traded in for younger models?

davethedave had a particularly classic pro bono job helping das air to get
one of their ageing buses aloft on time by couriering a piece of aircraft
    on the bike.
