Well my spangly new Givi box arrived today so I thinks a quick screw n all
will be well on the bike front. Outside nice weather getting on for 7pm so
plenty of light begin task. Simple screw here washer there stare at the
instructions for inspiration as to the difference between one screw and
another when it happened. Just fitting the cosmetic little black thingy with
a small screw washer n nut when I drop nut into top of seat area? Where the
smeg it went god knows! I ended up taking off the fairing around the rear
side and still couldn't find it. Gave up n screwed everything else in -
finding out that I could have placed little black shaped thingy in location
and fixed it there before screwing everything else together!

So my problem is there is a nut somewhere but I can't bleedin well find it.
Any suggestions? I've thought of throwing a magnet in there to see if
anything sticks but I am at a loss - literally!

Anyone got a mouse trained to retrieve nuts?!?!

    Regards
    Ian

    <snip>

About three weeks ago I nearly came off the Fazer when I tried to turn
left. The bike simply refused to turn and I ended up stationary in
the middle of the road :eek:/

Anyway, a quick inspection showed the bars weren't turning fully,
checked around the head stock and found a nut off the wing mirror sat
against the lock stop. I'd lost that nut two months previous down the
front of the bike and assumed it had rolled off on the garage floor,
no idea where it had been hiding all that time!

Ironically I was on my way to a local Honda dealer to see about part
exchanging the Fazer. Reminded me of the movie Christine.

Moral of this story: Find that fucking nut!)
