It had strange ambitions, that bike. It wanted to father a Ka, which
is why it fucked a Fiesta van.

But they're crap at making the nylon bearing that the gearshift lever
pivots on. Cos it swells up with winter shite and makes you think
    your gearbox is buggered.

Copper grease is the stuff to use. Apparently oily-type lubes get
absorbed by the nylon and cause it to swell up more.

Why do you people have problems with false neutrals on Bandits / SVs ?
    I've never had problems.

Definitely got one between 5th & 6th (if I hurry it) otherwise
    it's OK though.

Copper grease is oil based, maybe you're thinking about the silicon
based stuff you'd use on brake dust seals and stuff.

Not that then. Maybe it's because they're more liquid as so more
    easily absorbed.

I've managed to miss the 1-2 change but I definitely wouldn't categorize
it as a false neutral, more down to a less than insistent prod with my
boot. The SV has one of the nicest gearboxes I've had the pleasure to
operate. It's never displayed a false neutral as such in its 31k miles.

I managed to miss a 2 - 1 change pulling out of s side turning
and fell off, was a bit embarrasing, I try to make sure I'm in
the right gear before I get to a junction now. I don't have your
mileage up yet only 8200ish since Nov last year.

No I haven't as it goes. I ridded a bindit 600 for a week or so a while
