University of Hertfordshire in September :) (1)

Got a letter from UCAS today giving me a conditional offer there. All
I have to do now is make sure I pass the Access course I'm currently
doing and hope that they don't decide to cancel the course! (2)

    (1) Unless Northants Uni come up with a better offer.
    (2) Unlike De Montfort Uni who are currently cancelling courses right,
left and centre, including the one that they had offered me a place
    on.

Woo-hoo! What course did you get in the end?
Tell 'em Tuppy'll come and be unpleasant if they don't.

Geography ... field trips and compulsory leather patches on the elbows
    :)
That should do the trick. Mind you, Hertfordshire have a superb
climbing wall, so they may well have the upper hand at the moment.

Good stuff - takes some bottle to make the decision to do something like
this once you're the wrong side of your mid-20s, IMHO.

Uni of Hertfordshire is meant to be very good - I've had several
employees go to there over the past few years, and they really rate it
as a good place to study.
I wouldn't - if only for the fact that you're playing Russian Roulette
with your license every time you ride in.
De Montfort seem to be a bit fucked at the moment, closing sites etc.

They've changed the geography dept. at Cardif Uni to "City & Regional
Planning" (CPLAN). I did a couple of their modules last year as
subsidiaries (on globalisation). My dept, social science, has a very low
ratio of men to women. I liked the CPLAN lectures as 75% of the students
were men. If the lectures were dull at least there was plenty of young
    totty to ogle :).

Pam did an Access course back in the 90's and went on to a 4 year BEd
course so good luck with the course. She's now a Y1 manager in a
    primary school.

    Hope eveything pans out.

Well done! I did the uni thing when in my 30s and it was great. Wish
I'd done it a little bit earlier.

up the hill from The Galeria, if that's "Cat Hill". It's near the
    delightfully named "Thrush Avenue".

The campus looks like Stalag-Luft 17 or some such, if you ask me.

My main objection is that Hatfield is a completely soulless place.
