  3. At last update, the owner, floating across India as she is, would be
ecstatic with $3500 and happy with $3300.

ACT rego till mid-October, getting on 28,000(indicated)km, comes with a
spare rear tyre and a box of spare levers, pegs and headlight brackets.
Learner scuffs on muffler skin and radiator shroud.

If only I could get a bank loan tomorrow!
I'll have a grand saved by the end of feb, but banks don't want to touch me,
even with the promise of my dad being a guarantor....

    Sigh.

Hmmph; how much to make her quite grumpy but just willing to sign the
    receipt?

Never mind that; how much to make her really fucking annoyed at
how tight all your friends are, but to agree anyway because it's
that or starvation on the streets of Delhi.

.... 'cos I can probably offer just a bit less than that :)

  10. If it was mine, I'd've probably got it for a shrewd-enough price in the
first place to allow more leeway, but it's not, so I have to go on
    instruction.

You're calling a Scotsman a Wog for being a tight bastard?

  13. Well, Scottish tight is supposed to work like, "I can't afford to pay that
much for this thing I want. I'll just go without."

Wog tight is, "Rather than go without, I'll make an insult of an offer and
    see if he takes it."

  14. Yeah, but that was some years ago now...
I dunno. I'm using them as a selling point.

  15. I reckon that a pretty fair price, actually. I paid $3,200 for mine with
40,000km on it and its "learner scuffs" included a ding in the tank.

I'll buy the levers and pegs off you tho, if you wanna split them up...

  16. Yeah, but they're _all_ '91 models... Is a 28,000km 13 year old one
_really_ any worse a buy than a 40,000km old 9 year old one? I'd
    recommend the lower mileage one...
Yeah, I figured you were, thought I'd try out that wog commerce strategy
you mentioned earlier... Oh, yeah, I should have added "I'll give you
    $3.50 for em!" ;-)

  17. The correct phraseology would be "I'll give you $3.50 CASH!"

  20. On 14/1/04 11:53 AM, in article
Plenty of "better" and newer bikes on the market now.

A EB Falcon used to be worth 28,000, now, look at em......

    Hammo

Besides, you may need a rebuild of the carby, masters etc as if it has been
sitting around like it has. Time isn't kind on many things and bikes and
their rubbers and seals are included.
