I did laugh, but only because I've seen it in action. I used to work in Tamworth, which I reckon has the highest amount of motability scooters I've ever seen. Walking around the pedestrianised centre and shopping centre was on par with walking around the M40.
I was once struck by a mobility scooter, driven by a drunk, dead person (I was told later). I didn't laugh at the time but by **** it took some self-discipline, I can tell you.
