    Well I do.

The trouble with naturalising foreigners is that half the reason they
want to do it is because they are more British than us and that sort of
enthusiasm of out of place in a mature democracy. A line has to be
drawn and I think nationality at birth is as good as any.

Maybe it is something they should consider for the next round of rules
    for Another Place.

It'd make a nice change for a tory to be get radical. The last tory I
can remember being a bit controversial was Tebbit (sp?) with his on
your bikes speech. Like him or loathe him he said what he thought
which has to be better than the lying cunts we get these days.

OK, maybe. In which case add "naive" to the charges outlines above.

I presume he is allowed to take a holiday - or is the huge summer recess all
    they get?

I agree with you. I kinda like Bush because he just says what he
thinks....although he isn't very good at getting the words out!

I should expect no less than 1000 if we're going to be introducing that
    kind of rule.

"Buy my fucking Jag or I'll punch yer fookin' lights aaaht" should
work as well as he's accustomed.

WavyDavy emerged from their own little world to say
In what way does it differ to a 3 week fact finding jolly to South America?

You may not like it but a significant number of the UK population take the
trouble to vote in Big Brother. How many other politicians will engage with
    that demographic?

I bet GG's political views will get more media coverage in the next 2-3
weeks than the Lib-Dems' in fighting.

  12. Actually, I think she's aged reasonably well. Plus she was the only
one to be honest about why she's doing it ie to get her face back on tv.

Probably got one like a horse's collar, mate. Wasn't she nicknamed Rula
Law, due to her, er, bossy treatment of hubby Dennis Waterman?

However, for teenage reveries... you got me remembering Rock Follies
again. I wish they'd repeat that.

I worked for BT and Cellnet when this bollocks first started and they
were the first sponsor.Marketing expected us all to get "enthusiastic"
and show support. I found it quite sickening, even more so that it was a
    commercial success.

First Cane, now Bowie. My only comfort is that I'd be waaay down the
    list.
