    Then keep it coming.

I taxed the 10R this morning and since then we've had a nice leisurely
ride around the area (1), stopped off for a beer, did a few more
miles, stopped off for an ice cream by a reservoir then went home the
    long way from there.

The sun's been shining all the time, the roads weren't very busy and
the only down side was the amount of flies committing suicide against
    my visor.

    (1) Beds, Cambs, Hunts and Northants. I sometimes forget that we've
got some nice roads around here.

Top tip discovered this afternoon: Machine Mart industrial-sized baby
    wipes. Magic.

Test on an unimportant area first, etc ...

Indeed. Had a nice run out today, through Northumberland along part of
Hadrian's Wall, up to Kielder, then Hawick and Newcastleton via some
of Northern England and Southern Scotland's finest roads, in many
places reminiscent of the IoM. All in excellent weather and, as
Scotland doesn't observe today as a holiday, not too much traffic
    either. More please!

Absolutely fantastic roads, I'll definitely be revisiting them again
soon. If only I could find them again ...

I really doubt that's the case, you know.

  8. Believe me, it's true. No bends, shitloads of traffic and crappy road
    surface.

Bear in mind also that my biking was mostly done in Scotland,
    previously.

    Nah, don't believe you.
Ah, well, no, there won't be anything to compare with Highland roads.

  12. True but I wasn't even talking about Highland roads. Where I used to
live in Larkhall <spit>, there were several good loops of around 60
miles each within 5 or 10 mins of my house. I didn't live in the
countryside either. Nice twisty roads with little traffic.
