Not convinced, if I had a friend so pissed off about his bike I'm sure
I'd tell him to simmer down.

  7. I know I don't quite come into the Brit-Bike-Bore category (well - ok -
maye if you took off the Brit Bike bit) but I was given one of the
modern Bonnies as a courtesy bike when my Tiger was having it's product
recall petrol line fix being done.

I was expecting to like it..

The 10 miles from Chippenham to my house convinced me that I would
never ever by choice buy one..

It's slow, vibey, uncertain handling and sounds like an asthmatic
bumblebee. Much like (apart from the sound) the old Bonnie that I once
    had a short ride on..

  8. When I was much much younger I had a secret yen for a Superdream (I was
    young and foolish OK?).

Then when I was a student one of the other guys in the Halls had a
Superdream 250 and my restricted XL125 could out-accellerate it (up to
    about 40mph anyway).

That cured my desire from one pretty quickly.

Aye. And fifty quid a year insurance is quite compelling too !

    Cheers,

  10. The Doctor had a CB250RS (down, Lozzo!) at the same time as a friend had
    the Super Dream.

Her RS, two-up, was quicker than the Super Dream was solo.....

My RS still rocks with nearly 200,000 miles under it's wheels.

You'll need to change the cam, this one is fucked. There's a spare in
    the box of bits.

No problem, well, probably lots of problems, but I knew there was a
spare. I shall do that before I start mile munching on it.

I'll pick it, and the bits, up on Friday along with the 9R, all being
    well.
