What's happening in the Swiss elections? I heard that one of the parties is
standing for getting all the fucking immigrants out.

Sorry, I don't know how that happened. Perhaps 'reporting' should have
    been in quotes.

In keeping with my "I don't follow politics" claim I have to say I
have no idea. In this case, it's actually true.

I did see some posters up which seemed to imply some sort of election,
but had/have no idea what it's about.

...so that's just a typo then, or was it an opinion formed by osmosis?

I was travelling to Cheltenham for the last GCHQ rally. They (the TUC)
held a minutes silence for her. The utter *utter* cunts..

  12. I knew M H, I've had meetings with him. Long meetings, just him and me.
The nicest thing I can say about him is he's dim. His local party thinks
he's dim too. On the other hand his daughter is well 'known' by the lads
    of Stelling Minnis :)

The roads in Northants were absolutely deserted of police on the day
they buried her, they were all hanging around Althorp. So I took my
first ZZR1100 out for a bonding session all round Northants finest
highways and byways. I hardly saw any cars, but there were hundreds of
    bikes out.

I came down the big A roads and Motorways with the rev counter stuck
firmly on 2.5k and never dropped below 65 once on the main roads. I did
the whole 441 miles on a single tankful as well. All in all a memorable
    day, on many levels.

  19. While I agree with your analysis she was on News 24 earlier "responding"
to the announcement of the challenge. She was her typical "robust" self
but I actually quite enjoyed listening to her because at least she had a
reason for saying what she did and I've pretty sure she'd stand by her
views. I'd rather have that in a politician than the craven, selfish
fawning that we will be subjected to by the rest of the Tory Party
while they work out (again!) who stands a chance of leading them (if
anyone is insane enough to put themselves forward).

I wish they'd implode, split, whatever and then set about creating a
proper opposition party. The current situation is a travesty and I say
that as someone who will never, ever vote Tory.

  20. Interesting reaction - why so extreme Andy?
Well yes that's pretty much my view although I'm not so certain he's
capable when in office. I think the image is better than the actual
result. He was on the box at the weekend on an infill slot on News 24
talking about his politics etc and I found it interesting.

Couldn't vote for him but I do think he'd give Labour a hell of a hard
time assuming that he could get the Tory party behind him - fat chance.
I am disappointed that there is not an effective opposition to Labour
because you need one - there is too much apathy about politics. However
I hate the Tories so this self inflicted slow death is most entertaining
to watch. It just re-inforces my stereotypical view that they really
have absolutely no idea what the typical man in the street things of
    them.

A commentator I listened to at the weekend said the Tories were in
breach of the Trades Description Act by presenting themselves as a
    political opposition party.
