Actually, I don't think she's as bad as she makes out, given her
experience to date. What she does suffer from is some people belittling
the way she rides in a manner that demeans her, rather than saying 'well,
if you did it this way..'.

Can I change that now? Charders is crap - she said she'd get in touch
for a ride out in the summer hols, but she didn't. They've all clearly
gone back to school now, haven't they? So I guess it will have to wait

I even encouraged her to take no notice of a certain person's (IRL, not
ukrm) criticisms of her riding as "too slow", on the grounds that riding
within your limits isn't a bad idea, especially when you're just
starting out.

Indeed. When she was travelling to Derbyshire with myself and Ozmick she
was constantly worried about 'holding us back', but it doesn't matter cos
I'll go on ahead anyway and if there is a change to the route or I come
to a point where the person left behind might not know which way to go,
I'll wait there. I get to ride my own ride, whoever it is left behind
rides theirs and everyone is happy.

good and offer pointers for improvement.

See that's yer kids today innit eh? When I were a lad she wouldn't have
had to worry would she, there would always be a couple who were more
than happy to keep an eye out the back for her, so to speak.

you can't break the law, so that answer would hold.

The IAM angle (IIRC) is that you do not break the law - they can't be seen
to be advocating it. My dad got kicked out of IAM by a copper who saw him
overtaking on double whites, but, in his professional judgement, was driving
safely and therefore wasn't going to have him done. Persecuted, not
Prosecuted.
