why they didn't let him off with a warning?

Yet another example of British justice gone mad as a biker gets 15 months
    for speeding at 120.

Admittedly he also pulled wheelies during the chase, had no licence and no
insurance and when finally caught he "punched a police officer three times
and grabbed a police dog's ears so hard it made the animal scream". Oh and
he also was carrying an offensive weapon.

Still seems a bit harsh ;o)

He was speeding don't forget. If he had not shown such flagrant
disregard for public safety then he would prolly have got a fine and a
jolly good telling off from the beak.

Well given the assault of a police officer, failing to stop, animal
cruelty, lack of insurance and license and the offensive weapon I would
suspect that the speeding was a minor issue.

I'm more than happy with this sentence; based on the details on the
    site.

However, of course, I shouldn't have taken your post seriously...

Andy Bonwick was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Depends on what they did to the dog, dunnit?
