Actually Argos were advertising what seemed like a sensible deal.

Might be for the weekend only. Was Wii plus extra controllers plus toys
    for £175 IIRC

    Was on a TV ad.

    Tried 91-pin bowling yet?

It's in the training section of Wii Sports Bowling. You start off with
ten pins and then it keeps adding a row at the back til you get to a
    triangle 13 deep.

In what way? Surely even Wii Fit is just Track And Field for the 21st
    Century.

    so would Nintendo.

It's not. It just has a mildly unusual HCI system.

It's the games-console equivalent of the Theramin - pretty funky
looking on first appearance, but fairly soon you notice there's no
    substance behind the style.

But you'll soon find that you don't need to play "a real tennis stroke,
with your whole body." You can just sit there and flick your wrist, with
    exactly the same effect.
I got "Kinetic: Combat" for my PS2 over two years ago.

Sure, but with a keyboard or joypad controller you don't even have the
    option.

well yeah. I'm the fat brainy chick. As it were.
so, if I buy a snowboard controller[1] for my 360, that makes the 360
    "pretty different" from other consoles?

I would have provided a link to more information, but game-related
websites are blocked. I thought you were probably more than capable of
looking it up yourself, if needed.

Using a camera plugged into your PS2 to watch you move, it takes you
through some martial arts-ish training, plus allowing you to beat up
    various computer generated opponents.

It's a bit sensitive to the lighting conditions and distance from the
camera, but it generally works very well.

EyeToy's the name of the camera, yes. Some games just use it to include
a picture of the player in the game, but there's about a couple of dozen
that use the full-body motion recognition to control the game.
